They either need to whip out an HD add on or lower the price more than they have. It really doesnt make sense to be selling it at 199 when the 360, and HD console) is also 199.

they mean that they failed to keep the momentum from the previous year and probably will fail to meet their initial projections.

I definately wouldnt call the Wii a failure but in respect to 3rd parties they put themselves in a rather difficult position, games simply cannot be ported due to both the comparative weakness of the hardware as well as the interface. Games have to be specifically made for the platform or greatly altered and coupled with the costs of redeveloping and the all too common lackluster sales of 3rd party titles it makes it a bit more of a commitment than many companies are willing to make. I do think the 3rd party situation will get better as Sony and MS introduce their motion sensing technologies since it will be much easier for multiplatform titles....its the first time I can remember addon peripherals actually benefiting all consoles. I do think the next generation will be closer in specs for all 3 though which will benefit 3rd parties as well.

On point question...Do you think this will cause Nintendo to change their stance of not announce their upcoming games more openly, and frequently?

I would like to see Suda 51 working more exclusively with Nintendo. His "crazyness" might bring some other good stuff.
But I'm sure Nintendo will succeed.

I would like to see them admit failure if there next console performs like the gamecube. Sony is the only one who has failed this gen. And even then I rather there console this gen than last.

Wii failed?

I guess Wii 2 rumors aren't really all daft that all.
