I imagine this game will get a few more 7's from the likes of reviewers like this. Obviously there is a strong bias against Nintendo in the gaming media, so it wouldn't be surprising. Most of them will probably blame it on graphics, sound, and the fact that it's a 2d game.

In the end, I expect it to get in the high-80's to low-90's on Game Rankings or Metacritic.

I found this comment to be particularly strange, as well as their other negative comment (the one about level design). Not because i'm mad that they made negative comments, but they just read rather oddly.


I agree. It makes it seem like the level design is not Mario-like. I completely disagree. It is very classic Mario.

The fact is that EDGE is always that hard with games. This Mario game will rock easily, just watch those trailers.

Multiplayer brings a fresh new experience. This will be hot.

And don't forget that you make your own opinion on a game. Mario Galaxy is in the 3 best games of all time. It doesn't mean everybody loves it. Same thing with GTA IV: for me, this game is really too overrated. I found San Andreas better.

Though Ocarina of Time really worth its first place...

One more thing: you don't do reviews before the game comes out.

WAKE UP. It's Mario. It's a unique Mario multiplayer experience. You can't tell it will be not that extraordinary. It will. Easily.

Hello, this is EDGE. Fallout 3, BioShock and Killzone 2 all got 7/10.

Once again, a 7/10 from Edge is NOT a bad score!

Honestly, I have no clue if the game deserves it or not. But that doesn't mean I won't respect their opinion, should I ever come to disagree with it. Not like all the fanboy crap that is being spewed in here.

People are looking at what Edge has given other big Nintendo games in the past and seeing a trend which doesn't give edge much credibility

Again, opinion. If EDGE doesn't believe the games are worth more than they have given them, then their scores are justified. And a 7 from Edge is still something I value higher than an 8 from IGN.

What players expect must be tested by players...even if people said it is not extraordinary.You waited a lot for a game?Edge said it is a deception?

When it comes to this kind of Wii game, ie 'casual' fun multiplayer, I think Edge uses a 7 point scale.

How in the world do you give Sports resort a lower score than the original Wii sports?
