I imagine this game will get a few more 7's from the likes of reviewers like this. Obviously there is a strong bias against Nintendo in the gaming media, so it wouldn't be surprising. Most of them will probably blame it on graphics, sound, and the fact that it's a 2d game.
In the end, I expect it to get in the high-80's to low-90's on Game Rankings or Metacritic. |
I found this comment to be particularly strange, as well as their other negative comment (the one about level design). Not because i'm mad that they made negative comments, but they just read rather oddly.

I agree. It makes it seem like the level design is not Mario-like. I completely disagree. It is very classic Mario.
