Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

Week#4 blew projected sales out of the water (thanks to US sales) - so far, its tracking a lot higher than projected.

Be interesting to see how this week tracks - 600k seems too ambitious! 500k might be possible though.

So the Wii is already tracking about 200k higher than your projections, shams? (1283k versus 1090k) Interesting information to digest, even with Japan Wii sales slower than we expected. Thanks, and I hope you'll keep updating this thread periodically for comparisons.

Ha ha, i am closest so far. (although as i just took your numbers as a base and adjusted where i thought was neccessary i can hardly take much credit)

*gonna post a table as a next post instead of lengthening this one (is lengthening a word? doesn't look right but it sounds right)

Just remembered it was Zucas i copy/edited from not Shams...sorry Zucas.

ok what's going on....Shams you started by saying something about the "week starting 23rd Oct" but that was a Tuesday?....the WW weekly currently uses the same weeks as American (ending on a Saturday)

(why i lowered the total from Zucas' i don't know...i have always thought 6M over Nov/Dec [this includes a week in Oct too].. oh and originally Zucas put a total of 6M but the weekly numbers didn't add up....so i corrected it)

Just add 1.8 million to next weeks number, that should be the total. I suspect 17 or 18 million by years end.

 2008 end of year predictions:

PS3: 22M

360: 25M

wii: 40M

You realise zack that production has been at 1.8 million p/month for 2/3 months now....yet they haven't yet sold 1.8 million a month... they certainly are not sitting on retail shelves, so maybe, just maybe, Nintendo will have more than 1.8 million for December. (It's as if when they said they had significantly more than last christmas they were telling the truth)
