DS - 57-59m
PSP - 27-29m
Wii - 16-17m
360 - 13-14m
PS3 - 7-8m

So you're saying you expect 360 sales to slow down over the holidays?

you're crazy.

I am expecting the 360 to not have a good Xmas.  There will be no sales in Japan....and sales in Europe will be down...only NA will keep the sales at a decent level and once the Halo3 factor disappears in the US, they will slow down from their current level.  This week the 360 sales were at 37k in Others...significantly below Wii, PS3, DS and PSP.  Once the new PS3 model is released in the US, the sales of the 360 will go down as the PS3 sales will rise.  Although I do expect the 360 to sell better over the holiday period than the PS3...I expect the PS3 to have better sales over all 3 regions than the 360.  So Yes I said 13-14m...which would mean 880k-1.88m sales over the next 2 months.  But I may be wrong...wait and see.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

Even if you eliminated Europe and Japan from the map, Xbox 360 would be above 14 million by the end of the year. Going by NPD calendar, this NPD month it will sell at least 400k (probably more), leaving it at ~1.8 million left. That's 900k per month in the holiday season, which is barely twice what it has been doing in USA lately.

Xbox 360 will be much above your estimates, barring some sort of apocalyptic event.

Well all of DavyGees numbers are conservative in my mind.....but he should stick to what he predicted.
Or if he has actually changed his mind, he could do like Mitsuhide and keep the old prediction but make a new one.

I made my predictions for the end of each quarter (excluding this one we are in) in a place i can no longer edit them, so hopefully (unless they are deleted) you will find out what i thought by then.

Holiday season:
Wii - 4 Million
360 - 3 Million
PS3 - 1.5 Million

Total by year's end:
Wii - 16.75 Million
360 - 15.00 Million
PS3 - 6.50 Million

Around the Network

By the end of the year

-Wii: 17-19 million, depending on supply
-360: 14 million
-PS3: 7.5 million

-DS: 59-60 million
-PSP: 26.5 million

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I'm going to keep revisiting this thread as figures come out.

Not only was my Wii prediction for week#1 way off - its may get close to figures for week#4 (depending on how Japan Wii sales do).

Guess Ninty is releasing the flood waters earlier than I expected.

Wii:

Predicted: 190k

Actual: 286k (+ Japan - est. 40k?) --> 325k

...

No one did a weekly breakdown of the PS3/360? Ahh well :P

I added the TOTALS to WW Totals of September 29th 2007 because otherwise i would be counting the first 2 weeks of October twice.

I will NOT be changing my predictions in my sig to match the guesses i just made.

 Uhm....WHAT?

You think the Wii is going to sell less than 0.5m in October WW?

You think the PS3/360 will be 0.5m in Nov and Wii will be 1m in Nov?

You stated at the start of your post it was WW numbers (bolded it for clarity), but I cannot fathom how you would think a console (Wii) selling at or above 1m a month for the last  several months would suddenly drop to half sales right before Holiday. Please clarify a bit.

I suppose I should step into the fray here if I am going to comment on other people's numbers.

As far as the Wii availability concerns go, didn't Iwata just state that Wii production capacity is currently 1.8 million a month?
