Forums - General Discussion - Favorite films of 2009

My favorites of the year:

Inglorious Basterds
Zombieland
District 9
Paranormal Activity
Star Trek
The Watchmen

Roughly in order. IB was fan-freaking-tastic. I rarely watch movies at the theater twice, and IB was one of those movies. Would watch D9, ZL and PA again too.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Oh yes!

Taken was brilliant.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Ive seen SO many movies this year. My top of 2009 would be, in no particular order:

Ponyo
An Education
Drag me to Hell
Julie and Julia
District 9
Funny People

the top movies I only SAW this year would be:

Vicki Christina Barcelona
Magnolia

I see every single mainstream/arthouse/foreign movie that comes out at the movies and at the Movie club at Uni! But I can't think of any when I need to!

This year has been poor for cinema. All though a couple of the horror flicks look promising.

Haven't seen many movies this year but I did see Ponyo. UP was released here about 2 weeks ago. It's probably the only movie that I think can take Ponyo's place because I loved Ponyo...
