Warhawk hits the one million milestone

Warhawk first launched in the summer of 2007, while scrutiny of the PS3 was at it's highest.  Released in between the critical flop Lair and the moderately received Heavenly Sword, Warhawk was largely overlooked, despite being a fun and well designed shooter. 

Two years later, though, the title is still kicking and has finally hit the one million player mark, according to the online leader boards!  Incognito deserves a salute for managing to achieve that number.  They have been especially supportive of the online community, releasing several DLC packages to keep the game fresh. 

Warhawk still mantains a very active community, so if you haven't checked it out yet, I encourage you to do so - especially at the Greatest Hits budget price!

Glad to see it cross 1 million, it deserves it!

CONGRATS to the GAME. Don't know WHY I'm TYPING like THIS though...

This was my thought too. The leaderboards count PSN usernames, which people can both share the game and create multiple PSN accounts.

Ultimately it is probably very close to 1m though.

doesn't seem to indicate the sales, but only 1 million ? , i always find huge amont of people playing this game.

Whoever "Moderately" reviewed Heavenly Sword needs to get shot.

It wont be because lots of people gameshare. Realistically i would say its around 900,000.

still good for an online only game.

i hope mag does better.

from the pre-order numbers we have MAG is bound to do better

Gamesharing Warhawk is not a good idea as it locks use to a specific PS3 for 24 hours.

^ but people will have still done it. + mates will go halves on it and perhaps play it a week at a time? At least a few people will have done that pulling the million figure down.
