Usually, remakes suck. If there was a good remake, people would buy it.

Not MGS 2, but MG2 (Metal Gear 2) for the I believe the SNES or the NES and arcade, this was a 2-D game that had to do with frank Yeager, Big Boss, and outer Heaven. Snake kills Big Boss and mortally injures Frank who will go on to be the ninja in the PS1 classic Metal Gear Solid. You have those two game mixed up.

Most of these games should be remembered for there original greatness. I would rather see new ideas and material. We definantly need a new twisted metal. But, I would never complain about a final fantasy 7 remake. Didn't drink this morning so hopefully I dont get banned again. Yeehaa!!!

Doom was revolutionary because it popularised the FPS, and it was a huge step up from Wolfenstein 3D. If it was remade, it would be a generic *SHOOT DEMONS* FPS, and we have enough of those.
