I might sound like a complete ignorant fool or something but, are there some extras on the Wii version or something? I mean with no downloadable content, I just don't get why everyone (well, the majority at least) would be buying the Wii version instead of the Xbox 360 or PS3 version. Correct me if I'm wrong though! :)

Few things, the Wii version has inherantly wireless guitars, is cheaper, has rumble, and speaker built into guitar (via wii-mote).   Together I think those reasons are pretty compelling but the main reason for me is that right now I only have a Wii.

" Do people realize the makers of GH1 and GH2 are making Rockband.
And GHIII is being made by someone else."

I can't speak for everyone but I have known about this for a long while.  But when it boils down to the basics Rock Band is not only more expensive but not coming out for the Wii.  Add to that the fact that I am only really interested in the guitar portions and GH is a better fit for me.  But I will also say I don't care too much about the interoffice politics of gaming companies unless they effect the gameplay...and since GH1/2 were awesome I got no complaints regardless of who was supposed to make it etc...

Neversoft, who are responsible for both creating and then wrecking the Tony Hawk Series.

As for me, I don’t know. I already have two PS2 Guitars. Then again my sister is probably going to want to play online. I’m cheap and don’t want to buy Live gold, but then I think “what if I get Rockband and I can use the 360 GHIII on it and Vice versa”, but then I think, “wait, what if that doesn’t work?”.

Undecided.

It's really worrisome to see franchises handed off like this, it always makes me think of the travesty that was Max Payne II.

I'm going with none. I've played guitar hero before and it just seemed like the "Action sequences" some games have... to me the whole thing is a Mario Party mini-game with a special guitar.

I guess i "miss the point" of it.

Well there are a lot of Wiis out there too :)

I have a PS2 and a 360 but I don't have a guitar hero game yet, just played it at friend's houses. I will be getting the Wii version. I like how you use a Wii remote in the guitar so I don't need extra batteries. Plus free online play is another bonus since I don't have xbox live gold.

GHIII doesn't really need HD either, so the only thing the Wii version is missing is downloadable tracks. But if its like the last game and you have to pay for 3 song packs, no thanks. I think downloadable content is getting out of hand. You already bought the game, then you can pay more for stuff that should have been included in the game in the first place.

Wii version for me.
