I'm not one to usually care about these things, but the 360 version runs quite a bit better (smoother framerate) and has slightly sharper graphics. The framerate is a big deal for action games. Like I said in the Bayonetta Famitsu thread, there's a demo out there for anyone who can be bothered and wants to try out the core game mechanics.
Still, this game was already a buy for me based on my time with the demo.

You pretty much dead on. Before 2008, Famitsu had given out 6 perfect scores. In 2008 and 2009, Famitsu has given out 6 perfect scores. They definitely aren't rating games as harshly as before.
