Forums - Sony - IGN's Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time Review - 9.0

0.4 below ToD? Odd, since his only complaints were lack of innovation in the formula (which ToD didn't have either) and "repetitiousness of side missions".

Still, 9/10 is an excellent score.

TOD is an awesome game, should only get better from there.

I guess it isn't unreasonable to be even more tired of the same old formula now that we have had both ToD and QfB

QfB wasn't the same formula at all, it was completely different. It was also, by far, the lowest score IGN has given to a Ratchet game.

Must buy. I hope this gets a 90+ on metacritic.

It was the same formula with stuff removed to accomodate the whole "downloadable" thing. I don't see an issue labelling the same as ToD anyway

Platformer of the year, baby.

I gotta get this.

last time I checked, ratchet wasn't much of a platformer and NSMBWii was still coming out this year...

I still need to get the first one, but I'm waiting for the price to drop futher on ebay.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

Quest for Booty was much more platforming focused than your average R&C game, which focuses on gun combat. It was nice to have a short game which tried something new with the franchise, but I prefer the traditional R&C games.

fantastic score. Not as high as ToD, but still great
