Well, I was browsing the internetz, went to IGN, saw that there was an interview with Miyamoto, so I read it.

What do I come to find.. That NSMBWii is going to have a red spine.

Why are they doing this? What is the point of making it red? Can't it just be white like all the other Wii games? I don't want New Super Mario Bros Wii to stand out from all my other Wii games. I am going to have a huge wall of white.. and then there is just going to be a red spine in the middle of it.. Why? I avoid players choice games for this reason. I hate yellow GC players choice games, I hate red PS2 and PS3 players choice games, and green players choice PS1 games. It throws off the entire thing.

I know I am not going to be the only one disappointed with this news. So will many other collectors out there.

I don't think collectors tend to care that the spine is different for a certain game, but apparently you do so ... I dunno... I'm sorry for your loss?

It's for the same reason that the original Zelda had a golden cartridge: magical games deserve to stand out, even before you pop them in.

I like different colors. I wish they all had unique boxes... A gold zelda box would have been cool.

I don't mind different colored cartridges, that isn't the issue. The issue is that when you look at 50 Wii games spanning across a shelf, you can't just have the one retard game that is a different color than the rest. It looks ridiculous.

So paint them all unique colors! My collection is already non-uniform due to Okami. I'm okay with that though.

Maybe if they have enough requests, they'll make a limited edition with a white spine... At a very special price, of course!
