While uncharted is a far better game, EDGE is a magazine that reviews in a different light. hence why games like MGS4, which are also vastly better than Halo 3, do not score as high.

as much as I hate halo and its players, whiney annoying kids who call everyone faggots etc, the games online system, to this day, has not been topped. And because of it many games INCLUDING uncharted are different.

That is why edge gave it a 9.

a 9 from edge from a game that has no innovation is a HUGE score.

 

The real issue is ODST.

ODST is really just microsoft vomiting in a case and putting Halo on the cover, but whatever. There was obvious bias in that review

Firefight is just horde mode with some horrible design choices, the game is too short with more horrible design choices, there is nothing innovative and its trying to re sell ideas. Edge SHOULD of given it a 4/10, but due to their extreme bias gave it a 9.

Not innovative? Yet you're defending their 10/10 score for Halo 3? I can accept your logic for the original Halo...but not Halo 3. For how long did EVERYONE call Halo 3 "Halo 2.5 with updated graphics"? And you want to say that Uncharted 2, with it's addition of co-op and competitive multiplayer is not innovative, hence why it scored lower than Halo 3?

Like others said, it's a matter of consistency. If they really DID look for innovation, Halo 3 would have the same score as Uncharted 2, at best. If they think that Halo 3 is better, then give it a 10...but don't you for a second believe that Halo 3 got a 10 because of innovation

In all honesty, I think 9/10 is a pretty low score.... are there any lower scores than 9/10 for uncharted 2?



I am a Gamer... I play games and not consoles. I have a PC and Console on which I game... I like games. End of Story!

But how though? You haven't played the game....

That's like me saying I think a 5/10 is fair for Damnation even though I've yet to play it. If you nsaid you don't see how a 9 is a bad grade, or an irrational one, I'd be fine. To say it's "fair" is out of place, you have no experience for the game. Also, weren't you the one claiming people were "biased" for giving certain grades to games that you favor and you BELIEVED that others hadn't played. That's all I'm saying.

You are correct.

Let's put it this way. From looking at the videos (and myself actually having played the first uncharted until the plane crash) and reading other sources I have a hunch that it's a fair score.

Very impressive score, and still nothing under a 9 (on Metacritic).
