According to vgchartz, the Wii has over 600 games that already sold copies to consumers, whereas the PS3 has less than 400 (about 360).

To me, this explains Wii dominance.

Does it count if 99% of the Wii library is shovelware shit? The reason for Wii dominance is that everyone was amazed by the motion (gimicky) controlls at first (me included). Later most people realize, that the game offering and value / cost just ins't worth it. Unless they have no other console to play with, they usualy move on.

So you are saying that there are only 6-7 non shovelware shit games on the Wii?

I disagree, since personally I own all fricken consoles and I haven'tt moved on. Also 99%? Are you serious? You are saying that only 6 non shovelware games exist?

I have to party agree with him, wether this site thinks its a correct thing to say or not, the Wii has the most shovelware this generation.. actually I think even more then PS360 combined..

dominace by Wii is because its HW and First party SW sales.. not because of what you named.. thats completely irrelevant

I have found 8 non shovelware games. Here the list:

1. Wii Sports
2. Wii Fit
3. Wii Sports Resort
4. Wii Fit +
5. Wii Music
6. Wii Play
7. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
8. Game Party

check my game list, my wii games list is bigger than my ps3 list. so no people do not move on. They adopt to a few systems for all their needs.

Also back to the thread, game count usually shows the console is successful, but majority of it is bad games.

I think most could agree that the Wii has more than it's fair share of shovelware and poor quality cash-ins but 99% is stretching it more than a little.
