do we know the budgets of these games then?...how will we be able to tell.

We don't know the budgets...we don't know how they'll sell either...this is called predicting...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
No More Heroes - FLOP - I'm totally looking forward to this game...but ...unfortunately?...or is fortunately...many Wii owners and even non-Wii owners list No More Heroes among their top most-wanted Wii games. Why? I don't think they even know what Suda 51 is like or what this game will be like. Do they expect 1:1 lightsaber action? They'll be disappointed. Do they expect a GTA free-roaming game, free to do whatever you want? They'll be disappointed I'm sure.
This game is definitely a niche title...even if the mainstream's liking it now, they're probably not going to "get" it when it comes to review time. Case in point: The extremely short, few second long videos that Suda 51 is releasing over time...51 very short teasers. They come up on GameTrailers every week or so, and a vast majority of comments are "WAY TOO SHORT!","WTF SHOW US A LONG CLIP", etc. This is just his style...Suda's crazy...you should expect wackiness such as 51 extremely short clips...get over it!
NiGHTS - FLOP - It has yet to prove itself to me...even if I take the word of the ogling fans of the original, I have yet to see why this game will be any different or unique from the original. The original introduced some good 3D visuals, the use of an analog stick, and a feeling of flight that hadn't been played that way before. Since then, we've seen an infinite variety of 3D games, flying games, 2.5D games, etc...what's so different about this one? I have a feeling it may barely make a profit...but so far, I would predict a general flop.
Zack & Wiki - NOT - It's not going to sell millions, but it'll cover the budget...enough people will be persuaded by Matt and Bozon of IGN hehe.
Resident Evil: UC - NOT - The allure of using a peripheral, 2 player co-op, and it being RE will put it in the black for sure. Probably over a million eventually.
Guitar Hero III - NOT - I'm not totally sure about this one...there's still a lot of PS2 and 360 owners who will stick to that platform of course. But there are a large number of new Wii owners...the market fits, it may be reasonably priced, the Wiimote's built-in sound, rumble, and online play is a plus...though no DLC is a negative.

lol, good point Ben....I will vaguely guess that none of those games are extremely high budget though.

if nintendo lets/allows GHIII get downloadable songs, then it might be the best of the nexgen GHIII's
Z&W - going to score high 8's maybe into the 9's via ign. possibly a million seller by years end- IF the reviews are good and it gets good advertisment
RE:UC 300k first month is possible...probably 200k though.
others no idea. if they are good, they won't flop.
No more heroes: MODEST... I know im gonna buy it... However, it's a nice market they are tapping with this game! I think they can get the dev-costs out of it and make some bucks but that's it... Maybe they'll port it to PS2 then?!
N!ghts: GOOD! This game has a nice fan-/cultbase around it... Everyone of that group is gonna get the sequel... The game is coming along quite well and SEGA WILL NOT FOCK THIS GAME UP! FOR SURE!
Zack and Wiki: MODEST... However, i hope it'll be GOOD! Cuzz IGN really hopes it'll sell well... They're hyping it, And im trying to hype it on this site! IT should do quite well, i hope!
AND PLZ CAPCOM, ADVERTISE THIS GAME GOOD!
RE: UC: GOOD... The name will ensure it'll sell a mil alone!... Combine that with a strong RESIDENT EVIL orientated audience on the Wii (Resident evil 4 on Wii has crossed the Million benchmark Worldwide) And you'll have a Nice AAA onrail-shooter title on the system.
Guitar Hero III: I think GOOD... At least im gonna buy it first thing the day it comes out!... And i SURE HOPE it outsells the PS2 version... It's hard to predict this game, it could go either way... It could be a HUGE HIT! or sell just above PS3... U never know... I hope it's gonna blow up BIGTIME!

THE NETHERLANDS
I'd say let's see how well these games are marketed. A good marketing campaign can make a niche game into a hit. RPGs in the west were niche, until FFVII got this huge marketing blitz.
On the other hand, even an anticipated game can flop if barely anyone one knows when it comes out. See the relatively low sales of Metroid Prime 3.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Although I think that is true, it's already got 200,000 sales, with a very large amount in Europe. There has been a lot of advertising for HS (I haven't seen any since launch (I also saw the blu-ray one which was kind of rubbish)) and it is bundled with the PS3 60GB in many cases

Nights: Flop Sega has gotten a very bad reputation in recent years for putting out crappy games with their mascots in them. Only a small cadre of people know who NiGHTS is, and not many else will care.
No More Heroes: In between The game looks like a PS2 game, but it will have some style. If it's got good combat mechanics it will do well, but it doesn't look like it's shaping up to be a major killer app.
Zack And Wiki: Not This game will do well I think. It's got a really good buzz around it, highly stylish, from a well respected developer, will appeal to kids and game savvy adults alike. High christmas sales due to it's cartoonish kid friendly appearance.
RE:UC Not Resident Evil Franchise seems to be doing well on the wii, Capcom seems to have put alot of effort into it so that's it's not just another light gun style game, but rather one with some depth and replayability, plus co-op. Nintendo will be pushing it's zapper at an extremely cheap price point (20 dollars with game included) and as a side point games that tout it's use will probably do well over the holidays.
Soul Calibur Legends: Flop Nobody seems to have mentioned this one, but I don't think it's going to do well. IGN who seem to have an almost final build seem to be of the opinion that it's a semi-well done hack and slash with Soul Calibur characters. But with little press, and nothing spectacularly new or interesting about the title I'm not so sure it will do well. Plus it's going to be up against a billion other games, and will probably be forgotten when the smoke clears.
Guitar Hero III: Flop I'm going out on a limb here seeing as how alot of people are expecting good numbers from it on wii, but I'm just not seeing it. The 360 version is being touted as the definitive version, and lack of downloadable content is going to hurt it. The only people that will get it are people that only own a wii, that are hardcore enough to buy it. It appeals to semi casual and casual audience, not a casual one. The soccer mom waiting for wii fit isn't going to care about guitar hero 3. If anyone ones a wii and a 360 or PS3, they will get it on the other system most likely.
