Well.... they did say the ps3 was gonna sell at 600 with no games... we all know how that turned out. I'm sorry if you think that everything is color and rainbows around sony, just b/c they said so.

IF the ps3 would have sell like sony expected too, they would never had the need to pull out chartz saying that with the ps3 you get more, and you needed to spend like 800 to fully "enjoyed" the X360. They wouldn't have so many price cuts and bundles. Sony thought that they could just put that really expensive machine and name it ps3 and that it was gonna sell.

Or do you really think that the ps3 was selling like Sony was expecting? So why the need for the price cut? So many people getting fired? All the money lost... how come?

Considering that right now, the PS3 is the 3rd fastest selling console of all time... I think it has done pretty well.

But how does that statement mean the PSP Go one is a lie?

I never mentioned the ps3 right now, I mentioned the launch and the first months. Obviously sony took the right path, with price cuts, bundles and the Slim. I believe the ps3 Slim is doing what it was supposed to do.

I just used the ps3 as an example that just b/c sony said it was following expectations it's not 100% true. If the pspgo is selling what sony expected, according to them, either:

1.- They are lying

2.- They had really low expectations.

The thing is that for me, psp go had a bad start. If it sells 2 millions next week, that's a whole different story. I just said that 80K for the launch on EU + NA is bad.

I think it did okay, for what it is and how it is priced.

If Sony is making 100$ on every PSP Go sold, than 8 mln. $ in one week is HOT.
Though, it would be nice to know, how much they invested in PSP Go modeling.
But still, as long as PSP Go continue to sell despite all hate, it will make millions for Sony.

Overall, with Japan that would be around 150k, not bad in one week. I think Sony will be able to sell 500k-1 mln. PSP Go by the end of year.

And 1 mln. PSP Go is 100 mln. $ profit? HOT.

But just to make a comparison... what if the DSi would have sold 80k in USA and UK at launch.... i wonder how people would've react to that.
