I'm don't know much about the PSP Go so would someone mind answering since it's games don't use UMD then what does it use?

It's all digital, i.e. you download them into the system memory/memory stick and play them from there, like you do with your PC.

Really? Does this mean they won't have any PSP Go games sold at retail stores?? Seems like a bad move....

That's exactly what it means. You can imagine how thrilled this makes retailers...Also, there's no used market for PSP games. The latter seems to be the consumers' main complaint, although the price tag is also brought up repeatedly.

There won't be actual hardware copies but you will be able to buy download coupons/codes at retail stores, much like PSN cards.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

if it does flop, it did it by itself.

3000 and UMD's aren't going anywhere.

OT: When did it flop???

4 ≈ One

It also will flop because you can't get any credit for buying UMD games, not can you transfer them to the Go!

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

The DS craze slowed the Wiis sales somewhat. I wouldn't doubt the PS3 price cut and, at least in Japan, releases of such major RPGs would slow the new PSP Go.

Obviously Sony didn't learn its lesson the first time around, and that lesson is price is everything... why would someone seriously consider purchasing a PSP Go when it is $50 MORE than the 360 and the Wii and only $50 LESS than the PS3, which only does everything!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Don't you remember?

"[PSP Go] is for consumers to think to themselves ‘I will work more hours to buy one’. We want people to feel that they want it, irrespective of anything else." -Ken Kutaragi [Speaking of the PS3]

Goodness, the thing hasn't even released yet.

I hope does well so it can just shut some people up.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Wow, we don't even have sales numbers and people are saying it flopped. Shows how bitter some people are.

Then again, even if it sold 10 million on day one, there'd still be rabid fanboys on this site who said it flopped.

Let me show you why they call me the velour fog. Hit it.

I met her in a club down in old Soho,

Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like coca cola,

C-o-l-a, cola.

She, walked up to me and she asked me to dance,

I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said;

Leela, L-e-e-l-a, Leela, Lee, Lee, Lee, Leela

Leeeeeeeelaaaaaaaa
