Wow, I'm actually a bit shocked that in such a good year for handheld games, no one has mentioned one yet.

My GOTY so far is Rittai Picross. I fully expect Modern Warfare 2 to overtake it after having owned it for five minutes.

Tag: Became a freaking mod and a complete douche, coincidentally, at the same time.

This is a hard one but ill have to say Resident Evil 5 for me, I've finished it and done every trophy and i still play it often (Mercenary mode), Batman: Arkham Asylum would second with its great story and gameplay, and Street Fighter 4 would be my third, it ignite my SF love again ^___^

For me so far, it is Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10. No joke. In the month and a half or so that I have had the game, my total playtime on that game has surpassed everything I own except for big hitters like SSBB, MKWii, and SMG. It is the best sports game I have ever played.

However, there is a very good chance that New Super Mario Bros. Wii tops it when it comes out.

Hey, give me a break, I just got my DS this year and have been playing catch-up. I think Spirit Tracks might get up there for me if it's anywhere near as good as Phantom Hourglass. Besides you already trounced my Dead Rabbits in FF, go easy on me.
