Erik this is a good thread and you should keep doing it regardless of the amount of replies you get

Yep, keep up the good work Erik. Sometimes you'll get a couple of double, triple, or quadruple posts before someone comes in (trust me I know how it feels ). But when they do post, it's always full of gratitudre and thanks, so it's definitely worth it!

Great job so far. Keep it up good sir!

Going to be a very long chase before Wii Sports Resort catches up with Modern Warfare 2.

Wii Sports Resort and Modern Warfare 2 both gain 2 spots. The Force Unleashed also gains a spot, and Kung Fu Panda loses a spot due to ProStreet breaking a tie. Resident Evil 5 becomes the 42nd game to sell 5 million copies on current gen systems.

Just outside of the list, LEGO Batman is up to 4.39 million. FIFA 10 is at 3.93 million. Wii Fit Plus is starting to pick up in sales, now to 2.93 million with almost 500K sold this week.

so sad how games that developers actually worked alot on, don't sell as much as this.
(im looking at Oblivion , Killzone , Eternal Sonata ...ect )

There is an old saying.

You can work on your shit pie recipie all you want...

But no one is going to want to eat it.  Because it's shit pie.

Not that those games are shit... the phrase is an example.

however if you want mass sales.... you have to make games that people want to play instead of making games that you want to make.

Since multiplatform games seemed to be combined, why aren't Animal Crossing and Big Brain Academy on DS/Wii? They're actually the same games...

Both of those were very much marketed and released as being different games, with different names. The fact that Nintendo did not focus on creating new content for the Wii versions is unfortunate, but I'm not going to list them as the same game.
