I think that the ending when they explain things in MGS3 is more heart rending for me personally. Also I definitely agree with the SotC moment.

I refuse to read that! Still haven't beat MGS3.

Anyways, I agree with #1 though, Shadow of the Colossus is one of the only games that made me wanna cry.

I did cry when zack kicked it in Crisis Core, not almost I DID, im such a sissy, i knew it was gonna happen to him since most of us played the original VII on PSOne (And re playing it now Via PSN on PSP and/or PS3.)

But damn, in modern Graphics its really touching, you have no heart if you felt no kind of emotion from it. -.-

1. Devil May Cry 2-About an hour in you start crying, but only if you've played the first.

2. Bioshock-The ending...and pretty much the final boss fight also.

3. Mortal Kombat 2-Tears erupt once the infamous comeback AI kicks into action.

4. Ikaruga/Radiant Silvergun/Einhander/All other SHMUPs-It's hard to say exactly when the tears start. It's different for everyone.

Don't get me started on this! I'm crying right now just from remembering.

- Final Fantasy VII Aeris/Sephy scene.

- Lost Odyssey. The way several of the stories were told in 1000 years of dreams. And practically everytime the main theme kicks in.

- Final Fantasy X ending. As for X-2, while it is an amazing game, I pretty much consider the story of FFX to be over at the end of FFX.

@Seraphic - Crisis Core had a really sad ending I'll give you that. But since we all knew it was coming I was not exactly sadened by it. To me it was more of a uplifting ending because it made me think about how insanely badass Cloud is.

It hurt a little inside when my dog died...the others were lame. Who cares when another dude dies?

I'm sure you all know my number 1......

1. METAL GEAR SOLID 4 : GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS -- The Microwave room scene.....it was shot in a way that I thought SNAKE will actually die & THAT Johnny n Meryl were gonna die to.....I mean they had to run out of bullets eventually....but neither things happened.

2. METAL GEAR SOLID 3 : SNAKE EATER -- The ending.....oh . my . god ......one of the BIGGESt Plot Twists in gaming history, I didn't see it coming & by then end with the beautiful MGS theme in the background, Snake saluting Boss's grave which didn't even have her name on it.....the INJUSTICE against Boss, hate against the government & pity for snake made me weep!

3. METAL GEAR SOLID 4 : GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS -- The scene where Otacon Speaks to SUNNY & cries (but hiding it from her) as he thinks snake has died......AT that point we didn't know SNAKe would be alive as we saw the gun in his mouth & then heard a shot.......I mean once again the MUSIC & then realizing what Snake did & how otacon couldn't explain his supposed death to sunny made me cry! I mean EVERYTHING felt lost at that moment.......scenes of playing MGS1 when I was little, then MGS2 & MGS3 came back & then I realized.........SNAKE WAS GONE FOREVER!!!!!

4. FINAL FANTASY X -- The Ending ...... BESt ending in a FF ever by far. I still can't believe all that happened, the crappy VO kinda ruined it, but at the time I was like 14 so I cried!
