One of the complaints with motion controlled gaming seems to be that buttons are just being replaced with gestures and positioning. Well I came up with a odd thought or idea if you will. What about gaming in which rather than swiping or thrusting for an action, you have the controller make feedback with limits the controller's actual movement at certain points. For example, if you're using a chainsaw to carve a zombie; instead of performing a complete swipe, the controller stalls a bit as the chainsaw goes through the skin, bone, organs, etc. For that, I'd imagine that controller would need some form of resistance. I don't quite known how it could be done but I hit would make the player feels as if they were cutting from the zombie rather than swiping or thrusting and have it done on screen in the form of a quick time event. Ultimately by doing so, you could create a greater sense of immersion as it feels more realistic.
Just an idea.
Pixel Art can be fun.
