OT: I think you can rightfully compare both games. They are both shooters, they are both on HD consoles and both trying to win over hardcore gamers. They involve alien combat on foreign planets - and both series have been competiting since last generation.

It got lower scores from haters - but outsold a vastly superior game. Instead of being mad, why not contact the 2M plus folks directly and tell them they've made a mistake? Wait until next week's numbers. If they are still high, are consumers wrong again?

It's about gaming and enjoying it. You have a console? Enjoy it and cease on the hating.

It's ok to compare them quality-wise. But sales-wise, fanboys need to give it a rest.

KillZone 2 is proven to be a better game by who?  Play KillZone 2 for less then a week and I haven't touch again for over 4 months.  I bought into all the KillZone 2 hype and was very disappointed.  IMHO.

@durty: Yes, we are. But that's not the point. People are using internet hype compared to the massive advertising Halo 3 got on TV, stores, etc. And here people are using sales to bash the opposing games. The games aren't meant to compete, GG said this. All the company is doing is trying to appeal to FPS gamers in general, not to kill franchise-x.

Isn't this kind of pointless besides an unnecessary Fanboi gloat? We all knew ODST would sell more than Halo in it's first week. I think that was a given.

This thread is stating the obvious. The better question is, why did this thread get made? :)
