My father is a gamer and he said he is not buying the Wii because he doesnt think 250$ would justify buying a system with old games in a new coat, He has paid for my PS3 and he owns all last gen systems with over 150 games (my dad is awesome)
the point is that as much as you might call it reliving the good old days, my father (who is an older gamer) does not feel the need to.. he says he loves Nintendo's exclusives (he does not even know what first party n all that is xD) but by exclusives he means franchises as mario, zelda, metroid, super smash bros, not Wii sports, Wii fit or Wii Resorts.. he does not care for such games..
I would love to get a Wii but I would love to get a Xbox 360 more and that has like 70% the same games.. does that say something?
Currently playing: MAG, Heavy Rain, Infamous
Getting Plat trophies for: Heavy Rain, Infamous, RE5, Burnout and GOW collection once I get it.
God I am going crazy with every word being capitalized.

dude, you need to get out of the house.

It's all about the game.
Well... yeah the wii is better value if you like motion controls and don't like the HD consoles libraries. Of course it's better value. But...if you don't like those things, then the HD consoles are better value. So what's your point? Value is subjective.
Personally I don't like FPS that much and I like nintendo exclusives so I bought a wii. Also, people often forget wii comes bundled with wii sports. You might say ''well it's just a few minigames, it gets boring fast'' well, that's what I thought, but damn, I've clocked in a lot of hours on that game, great multiplayer too.
PS: capitalising every word is not a good idea ;)
I blame Wii Fit...+!!!
I also agree its very subjective on how you as a gamer or consumer view "VALUE"
I myself think all three systems hold very good Value, but to a point that to me the purchase of each system for me is not a #1 goal off the bat. I mostly pick one system and then pick up the other's later if i deem that I want the system.
This Generation i have picked up the PS3 an Wii the xbox360 my brother has that one so I have use of all three. For me I find more value in the xbox360 and the PS3 over the Wii, not that the value of the Wii is low or anything far from it i bought the Wii. i just find the PS3 and the XBOX360 to have more value as a system.

There is great value in the Wii -- if that is what you want to play. It is what I want to play ... so it has value to me.
But I fully realize there are a group of gamers -- generally males between the ages of 13-34 -- who feel the Wii is not for them.
Also, there are other items of value available with the other consoles. And now that full-fledged PS3s and Xbox 360s are $299 (USD), they have great value to those who are interested in them.

Depends on the person in question. I for one don't like to pay more than 100 euros for the WII while i paid 600 euros for the PS3
