XII sucked hard. it's OST is the worst in the series. we'll see how XIII soundtrack turns out to be

I'm more pumped for Shimomura's versus XIII music than the FFXIII soundtrack I mean it's unquestionable she's a lot more talented than Hamauzu Masashi :

Good, but I hope there are more memorable tracks in the game. Terra's theme and one-winged angel puts this to shame.

I thought it was pretty good. Nothing excellent, but some good stuff nonetheless.

Reading over this thread makes me wonder though. How can somebody love the soundtrack from Valkyria Chronicles but hate the soundtrack from Final Fantasy XII? It doesn't really make sense to me considering that they sounded somewhat similar.

Agreed. They have some of the same vibes being that they're from the same composer.

i think this music fits the game. they do not need Nobuo at all. the last song he made was awkward (kiss me goodbye) , it didn't fit the game at all.

FF12 had a great soundtrack, maybe if you dont like it its because you just like simple music or full of beats. I have the soundtrack and even if it doesnt have catchy tunes the music is great, if you dont think so you might wanna check your ears. Same thing for Valkyria Chronicles.

OT: The music is great, SE always provide great music in their games and this one isnt the exception.

Ive notice most usually in these threads post battle themes from games they like which sound pretty average, nothing you would like to listen alone, without the game itself, things that just fit in the game to pump you for it. This has the appeal to listen as music alone and we havent had the chance to see how well it will perform in the game when we play it.

To be honest. That was a let down. Nowhere near the earlier work of the FF series. It's like it's playing safe and trying to sound FF like, but just fails. Hmmmm.
