What can DS do lifetime? 160 million?

160 million is very possible, In theory it should reach 160 million late 2012 or early 2013.

That had to be a mistake Itt happens all the time, but it seems that its correct now: Worldwide: 81.48 million, all versions combined (as of March 31, 2009).

Thats why the DS is doing so well... the GB line needed over 11 years to achieve 118 million the DS needs roughly half that time. Its growing fast as hell, and its not showing any signs of stoping anytime soon

Jesus DS is a monster!  I wouldn't be suprised if they could outdo 200 million.   But still Wikipedia can be full of false info.

I was just going to ask about 200 million. That would be over half the population of the USA. I know that's worldwide figures, but that puts it into perspective.

The 80 million figure for GBA (all versions combined) is pretty accurate, as far as I know.

Depending on how long the DS line continues, 200 million is a strong possibility. It's come a long way, and the impressive sales are backed up by a very impressive games library.

DS should be the number one console of all time, it's just a monster when it comes to.... well everything. It misses nothing, with Nintendo games and all third party software imaginble, the only thing it's missing is Blizzard games. It's more complete than the Super Nintendo was.
