Hell yeah. Even 50K would have been nice. That's less then 10% of PS3 sold. How did Killzone 2, LBP and MGS4 not sell 50K with over 500K PS3 Slims being sold. Those are hugely popular titles and MSG4 sold almost 1 million copies when it launched, did it? The increase of these titles were less then 10K from the previous week. That's not good at all. Maybe people are waiting for the holidays.

The sales of Guitar Hero have nothing to do with it. Guitar hero is a game like rockband, it's on its own. 80-90% of people who play rockband are non gamers. A large percentage of that bought the 360 arcade JUST to play rockband. Thats why it sells more on the 360.

Prove me wrong. Real life experience has shown that to be true. The PS3 sales boost is amazing, games are going to rise, new releases of non-casual games are going to continue to rise in outselling the 360, more developers will put more work into PS3 games, sony will announce yet another year of best in class software and we'll keep rolling out.


Anyone who thinks a price drop is going to boost old software way up is silly, its the new software coming that will show the difference.

Why would anyone in their right mind pay 200$ more to have this? You know everyone and their mother has it. At least one version of it.

And no ones buying a console for Guitar Hero 5, its too late in the gen, all the GH junkies already have their console of choice.

Absolutely not. Sony's controller will be true 1 to 1. It will be far better than wii motion +. It will actually be what the wii motion SHOULD of been, not a half assed attempt at buying into house wives and people who want to pretend their cool flailing aimlessly at the screen while the machine sometimes registers their actions.

I did, I played Wii sports and Wii sports resort with my girlfriend, We liken it to what you would get as a promotional software out of a cereal box.

As mentioned, the sales of upcoming games will show the increase.

Fro comparison sake, what did 360 games look like after last year's price drop. A serious question, no harm intended...

l'll have to look and see. 

Software went from 984601 to 1240380 (+255779)

Hardware went from 112575 - 156091 (43516).

So the Xbox 360 sold a lot less consoles then the PS3 Slim, but had a larger increase in software sales after the price cut.

PS3 Software before Slim launch: 1238782 / After Slim Launch 1439548 = difference 200766.

That's not good at all for the PS3. The XBox 360 didn't have any quality exclusive out either

except for Infinite Undiscovery. XBox 360 hit titles didn't increase much either though. So maybe this is just the way it goes.
