I'd guess there is a bit of primacy AND recency effects going on here but for what it's worth:
1) Sega Genesis/Sega CD. Too many games I enjoyed on this system to even count.
2) 360: reliability issues aside this is the first console to truly integrate great single player AND multiplayer games (IMO).
3) Dreamcast. The only older gen system I have never sold, and never will. If wide-spread support for the Dreamcast had lasted longer, this may have been #1.
4) Super NES. Played the HELL out of this in college, whilst drinking and preparing to go out.
5) Playstation 2: I think the marketing of this system was ridiculously over-hyped...however even though the "emotion engine didn't produce toy-story graphics" or the analog buttons allow for 256 levels of input, it did have a stellar line-up of quality games.
My other shout-outs would go to the Odyssey 2 and PC's from the Vic-20 on.
