My predictions? PlayStation 3 will outsell XBOX 360 (1.5:1 ratio).

If prices stay as they are. PS3 will sell about 600,000 more.

If arcade drops from $199 to $179 or $159 ( £99 ) Then the 360 will outsell by over 1.5 million. Question is do you think M$ drop the price around Forza 3?

I think 360 still wins North America and U.K. pretty handily. The bundles, media advantages of MS and its established place in the market already this gen make it too much to overcome for Sony. Other territories lean PS3 a bit more heavily than previously. 360 still wins the holidays worldwide, but not by a huge margin, unless Japanese PS3 numbers are just enormous, which is a possibility if FF and/or (especially "and") GT both make it out this year there.

X360 will win America but margin will be not enough to cover ps3 outselling x360 in Others and Japan.

PS3 will win by over 1 million more. There's actually a high risk that it will stomp and crush the X360.

Both will sell roughly the same.

Xbox 360 will be 38M, PS3 at 30M by the end of 2009.

I would say PS3 should win atleast half of the weeks in EU, all the weeks in Japan & atleast a third of the weeks in America

EU week wins could be like 75% too......its just I don't know how the UK will react to the slim

If things stay as they are then I think Sony will have a good Christmas. My nagging feeling is Microsoft cannot believe they have done enough so will we see something in November.

While anything is possible, I don't think the Japanese people will drop their hand helds long enough for the PS3 to sell that many copies.  Yes it will pick up compared to the 360.  But I doubt it will outsell the Wii after the first 3 weeks of the pricedrop/slim.
