Forums - Sales - PS3 to catch 360 / Wii to reach 50% requirements. End of August update.

Interesting, it is still possible... but it is drifting away, and I hope the slim triggers a long term sales increase, and certainly Sony's big games should keep it selling well through the holidays and into Spring

so PS3 will never catch 360 & wii will never get 50%?

Then again this is a nice reality check, even though the holidays skew these numbers up a lot

Do you have one of these tables for 360 to catch Wii?

Nice one carl......lol

@kowenicki

really can you calculate that just for the lulz

Quick question, are these tables taking the Holidays into account? If not then they are in general useless :/ Although interesting none the less.

@carl

wouldnt that be pointless?

Why?

I think it would be just as interesting as PS3 to 360 and Wii 50%

You should standardize your units for the sake of not confusing people as well as simplicity. The places where you have "per month" figures should be "per week" figures.

Edit: sorry, they are standardized.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

@necromunda

what part of average is troubling you?

All of it

@kowenicki

problem is as Xbox 360 proved last year, holidays SKEW everything up

360 was outselling PS3 by 500K in the holidays (in 1 or 2 weeks)

then it went back to outselling it by like 10 - 20K

thats why it can be misleading

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

interesting at the current rate it seems like the wii wont be reaching 50% anytime swoon. However that could easily change if nintendo released some more big games and had a price drop

Long Live SHIO!
