360 can't win this generation period. They need to move natal to the next-box and make sure they have good hardware next time. I think the original xbox even had a better failure rate than the ps2 so the 360 failure rate is really a shame on M$. Mine still works or maybe it's because it didn't get that much use.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Console warz.
^ mmmhm. Zizzlas fanboyism is on the verge of being ridiculous.
Does anyone really expect that Shane Kim would say anything *other* than that MS's goal is to win? Q: What kind of a spokesperson would he be then? A: an unemployed kind.
The current gen of consoles is sticking around for *at least* another three years - 360 has yet to release a 'slim', PS3 is only just releasing a 'slim'. Neither system has played its entire hand and in general the public doesn't even see a need for a new console so soon.
So, why wait for Natal until the 'next' generation?
Nintendo has learned a lot from the Wii in these last four years and will be taking their motion-controller expertise to their next console whenever that console proves necessary. These four years have enabled third-party developers to get a really good grasp on what works and what doesn't. So the next Wii will have better-designed games from the beginning (unlike the beginning of this gen when all but first party games pretty much sucked).
If Microsoft gets Natal out there (presuming it's ready) next holiday, third-party developers will have three or four years to get a firm understanding of how this very different underlying tech works - and what things designers have to factor in for - before the NextBox comes out with the next rev of Natal hardware.
It doesn't make sense to sit on Natal for three or four years when the 360 can not only handle the tech, but the platform as a whole can only benefit from it.
In the absolute worst case (which absolutely won't happen) where Natal bombs, it changes nothing - the 360 still has regular controllers and super-high quality games. It'd just be a peripheral which no one uses.
Nothing to lose by releasing it this gen, lots of missed opportunities (including letting competitors catch up) by holding onto it.
I honestly think that Natal will do as much or less as the PS3 motion sensor.

You better remove the EyePet picture from your signature quickly. |
i was reffering to games we play today for eg. street fighter or any shooter. i dont think it will work with core games.
eyepet is for kids sort of like a family game to mess about. games like eyepet will work with natal but not the normal games you play today.
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
He's got to say this. I doubt it'll work for them, but it might. MS clearly is going to heavily target US with this (as is has 360 in general) and look to both keep Sony as far from the limelight as possible and claw as much back from Nintendo as possible.
That's going to require fighting talk, which is what this is.
Personally, I'm least excited about Natal for games, but very interested in it as an interface. I might have to consider upgrading from XP after all.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Japan is Games?

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
