360 version outsold PS3 version?! very surprised!

Not really. 360:PS3 install base in UK = 1.6:1. That's a pretty big difference for the Joker to make up. Come back when total Others numbers are up. If 360 is still > PS3 then we might have a surprise on our hands.

yeah but there has been titles on the PS3 outselling the 360 version in the UK before, i just though the joker would be enough :P
Guess i overestimated the power of the Joker

Chart-Track's news (on the All-Format chart) :

Holy No1 Batman!

01/Sep/2009

Eidos have secured No1 with ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’, which is their biggest All Formats No1 since ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ back in 2000 (bigger than Tomb Raider: Legend and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness).

The split was pretty close with 55% going to Xbox 360 and 45% to PS3 (the PC version will be hitting shops in a few weeks).

Nintendo’s ‘Wii Sports Resort’ therefore moves back down to No2 and Codemasters’ ‘Ashes Cricket 2009’ stays at No3.

Activision-Blizzard’s ‘Wolfenstein’ moves down two places to No4 followed by Nintendo’s ‘Wii Fit’ at No5. It’s Activision Blizzard and Nintendo again at No6 and No7 respectively with ‘Call of Duty: World at War’ and ‘Mario Kart Wii’.

EA’s ‘Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10’ holds par at No8 and we have another Batman game in the Top 10 with Warner Bros. Interactive’s ‘Lego Batman: The Videogame’ at No9.

Activision Blizzard have a second Call of Duty game finishing off the Top 10 with ‘Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare’ and Bethesda Softworks new expansion pack ‘Fallout 3: Game Add-On Pack #2’ comes in at No20.

Ashes Cricket being a notable example.

But I think the Ashes Cricket demographic might be slightly different to the AA demographic. If popular opinion is to be believed, and all things being equal, one would expect AA to be equally or more popular among the 360 set, and since the 360 set is larger then an equal popularity means more 360 sales. Whereas there might well be demographic predicters out there that would suggest Ashes cricket has a larger base among PS3 owners. The % total sales attributed to PS3 = higher PS3 attach rate than 360, so the Joker is definitely having an effect; just not quite large enough.

PS3 price drop has no effect. :O

@ noobie, there were certainly no slims in this week

Anyway, good start for Batman, probably about 150k on both consoles in Europe. Good legs from Ashes Cricket 2009 thanks to the victory, that should stay level for about the 3rd week in a row

Quite surprised to see the 360 Tiger Woods outselling the Wii version.

Especially with the Wii Ashes trouncing the competition, suggesting that the Wii really is coming in to its own as a sports console.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Both of them are being advertised on Wii, massively. Don't expect the same thing to happen with FIFA and PES, the biggest sports games

go PS3 & NDS!

both have good software in the charts!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

wow very nice xbox 360 software sales, 12 x360 vs 6 ps3
