I was going to get a WiFi setup for my Xbox 360. I have heard there is a noticeable delay for online gaming compared to just plugging it in. How much of a difference is there?

I have a wireless N router with the wireless N game reciever. I notice no delay. (except when the router is fucking up)
depends on your setup. If you have a good connection the delay should not be noticeable. I use WiFi and I've never had a problem with lag other than general network lag that is out of my control.
Unless you have superhuman senses and can notice that 1ns delay.

If the signal strength is good then the majority of the time you won't notice any difference. I play 2 player online games regularly with a friend and we were getting occasional lag and disconnection issues until he switched to using an ethernet cable (I was already using one) and since then we've had no problems. I think it's always best to use ethernet where it's practical to do so.
it depends on your signal strength.
on my ps3 when i go into settings, it comes up as 95% - 98% so its pretty solid.
i dont think it would be any different on 360, you should get a very good connection.
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
Well, I may be getting a bridge to connect everything on my t.v. to my WiFi, and it seems that the delays are negligible.
I use wifi on PS3 and 360, and I used to play WoW via wifi on my laptop. All with no issues. Hell, I even get good quality from netflix streaming via wifi on my 360 and I'm using the old xbox 1 wifi adapter. Works perfectly.
