Forums - Nintendo - Metroid Trilogy won't play on my Wii?

So I have a question?  Is the trilogy dual layered? (it worked fine yesterday, but not tonight?) And if it is; then i think my Wii needs to be cleaned, because it would do this every once in awhile with Brawl.  Does anyone know if Nintendo does this for free or is this something I have to pay for?  Also does anyone know about how much?  Thanks in advance.

Last I heard, Nintendo will clean it for free.

Metroid Prime Trilogy is dual-layered.

I am having the same problem with my disc drive. It won't read any of my games.

Nintendo can be nice enough to do it for free, but if they charge you, it won't be too much.

It is indeed dual-layered - the first two games were around a gigabyte each, and Prime 3 is over four.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I'm so sorry to hear about that Chris, and to a huge Metroid fan to boot.

Hope you get it figured out quickly and painlessly.

ok....i got it to work....but it took me like 10 minutes of staring at my wii and continually ejecting and reinserting the game over and over. I'm gonna call Nintendo in the morning and see what they say. I put Wii Sports resort in and i had no problems, but brawl and trilogy wouldn't read. So, does anyone know exactly what the problem is? I thought I remember something about the laser being dirty. Anyone know?

Yes. Is dirty. Nintendo can clean it for free i think. Just go into the website, and look for that option. Problems with brawl or something like that.

By the way. If this particular tech problem happens again, they have disc cleaning kits for wiiae I am sure.

My name is blubeard because rosie has a blue beard. Just not on her chest.

Nintendo will take care of it.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
