@Daillinor  Which 360 fans hype games? If they do its very little compared to the PS fans. (Which is bigger and undstandable cause PS has been out longer than Xbox)

@Carl wow ONE guy who got banned for it,when was the last time you heard any 360 owner (not a troll account like xbox 360) say that a exclusive game is gonna HUGE,you konw selling millions or KILLIng any other system exclusive?

well.. Demon's Souls is one of the most inspirational games of this generation. It brings an incredibly well defined RPG experience from the past and makes it fresh with a unique and innovative online experience you will find no where else. The game is harder than any other current gen game and has atmosphere pouring out from every spot. The game is amazing. It's far better than Fable II and I think this is why it gets mentioned a lot. It deserves to sell a lot more than Fable II Does but it doesn't because it's a relatively unknown game.

Eurogamer gave it a 90 I think, and they hate the PS3.

No one has ever called it a game changer or anything, and if they did, they weren't being logical. It may be a great game, but far from the things you described. What you're doing is setting up unrealistic expectations that no one has really said, so that the game will seem like more of a failure in your eyes. I've seen it done plenty of times.

@OP: Please link me to where people are saying that this will be a game changer or how it will result in the ps3 beating the x360 and I will gladly tell them they're wrong. Otherwise I think you're just using a hyperbole to get your point across.

It's vgchartz.com...just get used to it, for the most part, it's 80% Pro-PlayStation here...sad.

Either way im glad both ssytems are getting lots of games,to attract new customers.

some VGChartz membrs (including me) love this game so much and consider DS is GOTY because it's that good.

but that's just our opinion.

the most unique feature of this game is it's online play.  you can co-op with other gamers online to fight the boss.  also, you can invade other gamers world to challenge other gamers.  i've been playing this game for over 300 hours now and my friends and i find the most exciting moment is when other gamers invade our world because it's can be really challenging to fight those invaders (if they are good).

i have never seen any console game with gameplay designed in this way.

I think Demon Souls is a bad example. Almost everyone on this site that hypes it have actually played it. Much like Valkyria Chronicles, it is an excellent RPG that happens to be exclusive to one console. I don't think anyone has stated that Demon Souls is a "game changer" or believes that it is a system seller.

My issue with your larger point is that everyone is guilty of hyping exclusives and ignoring multiplatform games. How many threads do you see about Forza, Halo, GT5, Killzone 2, etc. ? To claim that this phenomenon is exclusive to PS3 owners is unfair and untrue. Both Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet 2 were hyped early until the PS3 versions were announced. I remember a thread hyping Banjo Kazooie and several regarding Lips. Rarely do you see anything regarding Modern Warfare, Assasins Creed, or even Batman (which released today).
