Game changer... Clearly the OP wants a flame/troll debate happening but whatever, I'll present the view Demon's souls players have.

- we don't think the game is a 'game changer' in the slightest
- we do think the game is a very good game.
- we think the game is challenging
- we think that if you like RPGs, and like challenging games, have a look at it.
- we think if you don't like RPGs, don't like ps3 for some silly reason and don't like challenging games, that you should sod off; leave us alone. We're having fun.

Game changer? lol?

I have the game, and I love it so much I'm rebuying the NA version (Deluxe Edition). I've called it an excellent RPG on many occasions, but I have never called it a game changer or anything of the sort, and I can't think of any others who have either.

The game is fantastic, and it's a shame it'll probably sell horribly (well under 500k lifetime). It's even sadder that guys like you will then label it a failure for not being a game changer or the savior of the ps3.

The game is my current game of the year, and I doubt anything will top it for me personally.

Reminds me of Gearbox's "LittleBIGPlanet will sell 10M" thread. After that everyone said "PS3 fans claimed it will sell 10M".

I expect something similar with this game even though that is bullshit.


Also, try giving proof before you start claiming anything, and an Official thread doesn't count because if it does I expect to see your "Why are some hyping Forza 3/Mass Effect 2/etc... as a game changer" threads.

Hell, I remember when Too Human not only was supposed to be a game changer (it had an official thread) but it was even supposed to change the world!

Check threads where PS3 exclusives are brought up, to show how the PS3 is goijng to turn it around.  Demon's Soul ends up on that list. 

Anyhow, when reaching for a subject header for the thread, those words came to mind, maybe even not a fit.  Probably should of said, "Is anyone hyping Demon's Soul like it is a game changer?"  instead of asking why.  It keeps popping up on exclusive hype lists I have seen.  It has spawned multiple threads on here also (like this):

What does ameratsu's thread have to do with this?  All it is for is for people like he and myself to discuss our tactics while playing the game.  Are people not allowed to talk about games they're playing now?  Is simply discussing the game equal to calling it a game changer?

so you're actual question is, "why is it that when people list upcoming ps3 exclusives demon souls is listed as a ps3 exclusive?"  answer: because it is a ps3 exclusive.
