Forums - Nintendo - Why everybody hates cammie dunaway?

Maybe because you can compare her with Denise Kaigler. Denise gives a much more professional image, she gives better interviews, and doesn't have that annoying voice.

She had a bad first impression at the first E3, and is now connected with the bane of gaming, "casual gamers" (lol). She has grown on most Nintendo fans and is now "alright" but not terrible. However HD fans hold a grudge, and will probably hate her forever after E3 08'.

That's why.

I am loath to post lame videos from Youtube, but this video contains footage of her being insufferably irritating.

Because she isn't able to play NSMBW (remember? she died after 2 seconds LOL).

...and she is too similar to my latin teacher, who i hate ^__^

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

Cammie is a marketing person. Nintendo has chosen to market its systems based upon fun (rather than over-hyping specs or belittling the competition). So it is her job to convey fun.

Fun appeals to those who think of video games as play. It does appeal to those who think of video games as a challenge. Hence lies the rub.

PS -- Cammie is no dummy. Her degrees from U of Richmond and Harvard say that.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

If that thing we call Cammie Dunaway is what fun is, I'm surprised people like it so much.

What a pretentious post. Last I checked, the PS3 and 360 offer plenty of fun. They're also marketed as such. When Cammie threw a disc for a dog to catch it, that didn't really look fun. Nor did a lot of other things she showed off.

Never fails to make me shudder.

She has become the face of "casual" gaming. Reggie and Miyamoto and Iwata all have been making awesome presentations at E3 in the past, but the first impression cammie made at that horrible E3 2008 wasn't exactly the best first impression you can make.
She is doing well now when she is presenting the Mario games and such, but E3 2008 will always come to mind when hearing her name. Only a totally awesome E3 2010 will have any chance of negating that first impression.

I LOVE ICELAND!
