Namco robbed Sony of two better developers?

That's really fail -_-. Didn't both developers make games for 360 also?

Majin looks crap so i guess they need more platforms for some decent sales.

When I first saw Heavenly Sword gameplay I could have Sworn the game was made by Santa Monica. So I don't see why they couldn't take over the franchise. Both games are sword and sandal Hack'n'Slash so they occupy the same niche. And once GoW III is done Santa Monica's gotta move on. Still I imagine a studio like SM would want to explore it's own creative landscape and not take over someone else's leavings.

Interesting the analogy to Insomniac making KZ2: they did do Resistance, another quality FPS.

i dont feel to bad Games Republic wasnt the best developer i didnt like folklore that much... Ninja Theory was good i liked heavenly sword i dont think that game needs a sequel

Heavenly Sword was fun while it lasted, but I'll cope.

GameRepublic and Ninja Theory both made non-Sony games before. It's just that their titles performed under expectations.

Robbed? Ugh. If Sony had them signed to exclusivity contracts and Namco hired away workers from either company that would Namco robbing Sony. I never played Heavenly Sword myself but my brother really liked the game and it looked fun to play. If I see it for cheap I may pick it up.

I find it ironic that two years ago members were saying something quite different. Two years ago these were two quality developers. Two years ago their games were not getting the sales that they deserved. Two years ago their games were great, and the highlight of many lists. Two years ago their games were to spark Sony domination.

Today they weren't so good. Their games sucked. Their sales were justifiably lousy. Sony could do better no big loss. You can't steel what someone doesn't want. Who wants a sequel. Sony will be better off. This article is full of fail.

That is your side then, and your side now. For my own part I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. You oversold them then, and your downplaying them now. Why are you doing this. The word is propaganda, and stroking bruised egos. The truth is these developers were decent enough, and their exclusives were much needed when the PS3 didn't have a pot to piss in. You needed them then, but you don't think you need them now.

The truth is your wrong, and do not get so full of yourselves with recent developments. Sony still needs every second party exclusive title they can get. Microsoft is still beating Sony on this front, and has done so all generation long. Microsoft can do this thanks to architectural commonality with the PC. Here is some simple wisdom for the sour grapes crowd. Something is better then nothing.

In this case Sony isn't going to get three or four exclusives this generation, and these were competent developers. Their games weren't the greatest, but they weren't crap. A console does need good games just as surely as it needs great games. It is always better to have as many of those be exclusive as possible.

I think you guys should be a little more respectful if for no other reason then you owe these two developers for bringing you decent games when you didn't have much to smile about. Have just a little gratitude. Your probably going to play their games again. Your just not going to have the old bragging rights. Which you thought were so great just a couple years ago.
