I LOVE ICELAND!

I disliked it before Wii Motion plus. However, WM+ changed my entire view on the console.
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY." --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

megaman79 is correct. Also a lot of people genuinely don't like it, but that's not what this is.
Naturally everybody who didn't like it is coming out to express their feelings because it's now the topic. It's all about what the media is doing, and make no mistake, they're doing it for money.
Nintendo will somehow have to break their policy and come up with a load of cash to shut up some people like Microsoft and Sony do. The alternative is probably more of that negativity, of course there is a point where it just looks foolish, but it's gotten past that and these articles are still prevalent. So it probably will take a plan to have the media bought out through some secondary means without breaking the policy. It's not simple for a company that does just one thing.
@soriku
I'm not saying it's a bad system, I'm saying Nintendo didn't make this console for me. The tone they've set with their first party software is a little lax, especially when Nintendo is the one console company that is expected to put out most of it's hits.
With some of the recent games to come out from third parties I'm getting a little more attached to the idea of getting one. My friend is going to sell me his when I get some extra money put together, because I really wanna play monster hunter and the new silent hill, plus I haven't played my smash brothers brawl in a long time, even though I don't particularly like the game.

| Naum said: They hate it just beacuse it's nr 1. They just can't stand it, sure it was no problem when the PS2 got the shovelware beacuse then it was thier first choice of console but when the Wii gets it they say it's worst thing that ever happened, everything is Nintendo's fault suddenly... why didn't they say this during the PS2 era? Nintendo is doooomed no matter what, forget all the billions they have earned, that doesn't count I guess. |
uhm... PS2 had a great libary with over 60 AAA titles, how could they hate it?
Wii has a libary with 8 AAA titles,so...
I dont hate nintendo.. but I do feel that the wii motion control is, apart from casual gaming, a fad for most titles. I still enjoy using the classic/GC contoller on most of the titles I own..Also the wii is waay overpriced for what it does.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:
a. a AAA 3D sonic title
b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"
c. redesgined PS controller
d. SEGA back in the console business
e. M$ out of the OS business
I can understand not liking a video-game system or company, but for one to actually hate them is simply beyond me. There are far more important things in life to take seriously.
I am a wii hater, but Nintendo are my favourite gaming company. They gave me the Gamecube, I can never be thankful enough for that and the DS

It comes from a nationalist mentality. Essentially people think they have to hate everything that is not what they have. These people will dig up every possible reason they can, and just continue to hate for the purpose of hating.
On another point, I don't buy this "hardcore" bs. How can a videogame or videogamer be "hardcore"? To me the whole thing sounds like a euphamistic debate for some sort of social problem for the so-called "hardcore gamer" and a term used to arbitrarilly elevate the status of a game.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
