I do not feel alone in the internet or when I playing a wii game online but when I am with my friend, I really feel lonely because they all sony or microsoft fan, I can't talk about a single thing of the wii because they don't care.

Who cares?

Honestly, I don't care what people think is a hardcore system or not a hardcore system. To me what's important is I have enough quality games on the system I currently own to keep me busy and entertained.

Whether or not someone thinks my Wii is hardcore is of none of my concern.

There are some cool games for the Wii that Xbox and Sony fans may never end up playing. Look at games like Super Mario Galaxy, MadWorld, Super Smash Brawl, etc. In the next month an awsome looking game called Muramasa is coming out and that looks like a pretty 'hardcore' game.

Little King's Story recently came out, aside from it's aesthetics, from what I've heard it's quite a challenging title.

I'm looking forward to the next Pikmin game, Zelda and the direct sequel to my favorite 3D platformer of all time, Super Mario Galaxy 2.

So really, who cares?

I AM getting another system soon, but my decision is affected only by Tim Schafer and Shin Megami Tensei games. I honestly didn't think about getting a new system until I saw previews for Brutal Legend.

Honestly, you're only alone if you allow other people to tell you that you are alone.

The Wii fanbase is the biggest, however, 360 and Sony owners are the 'core' groups who actually post on these types of websites, because the people who own Wii in the majority are a new audience which may not be technologically savvy.

Regardless of that, if you like the Wii and are excited about what's coming out for it then why worry what someone with an Xbox or PS3 has to say?

I'm the only (male) person in my class or neighborhood who owns one. Everybody else hates it. I don't have enough money for too many games, so the library is interpreted as not having ANY.

I am lonely indeed.

im in this exact situation. a friend of mine has over the years owned the following:

megadrive/snes

ps/n64

gba/xbox/gc

ds/360/wii

he sold the wii after 10 months (1 month before mario galaxy came out i might add) stating that nintendo had turned their back on the hardcore etc. what i find frustrating about this is that he's always loved nintendo games such as mario, zelda, pokemon, mario kart etc. we played mario kart on the ds with about 4 other friends for so long! we all loved it.

one thing thats really got under my skin is one nintendo series he never got into was metroid even tho i always told him to check it out, 2 months before he sold his wii metroid prime 3 and super metroid on VC came out and he ignored them completely! And guess whats the game of the month for him atm....... thats right shadow complex (which does look superb). i dont understand why he ignored metroid and why he now hates nintendo, he hasnt even played his ds in about 2 years. is he a fanboy or am i one (i dont think i am, check my collection) for getting so wound up by someone hating nintendo?

anyway sorry for the personal rant. in regards to the OP.....

yes i do feel alone as a nintendo fan but only with my peers, they all seem to believe with wii is a gimmick and casual. what frustrates me is that yes theres a hell of a lot of shit on the wii, but theres still those great nintendo games that made nintendo so great in the first place. you just have to dig past carnival games and cooking mama to get to punch out and metroid.

Care to notice, but this forum is filled with Nintendo supporters and if you look on the internet youll find lots of people ready to defend it to death, as well as twice the amount of fanboys of the sony and microsoft combined, and they are are 3 times more stubborn as well :)

Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!

You'll notice though that this certain 'Nintendo killing the industry' propaganda only started when they released the Wii and began to outsell Sony and now all of a sudden Nintendo's a bad guy!

This is touching upon a very interresting subject. When Sony started to take the lead, they made gaming about cutscenes, and DVD's, and Blu-ray, and media functions, and such. But now when Nintendo is taking the lead back and is focusing only on what games are, GAMES, they are suddenly killing gaming.
