Who cares?
Honestly, I don't care what people think is a hardcore system or not a hardcore system. To me what's important is I have enough quality games on the system I currently own to keep me busy and entertained.
Whether or not someone thinks my Wii is hardcore is of none of my concern.
There are some cool games for the Wii that Xbox and Sony fans may never end up playing. Look at games like Super Mario Galaxy, MadWorld, Super Smash Brawl, etc. In the next month an awsome looking game called Muramasa is coming out and that looks like a pretty 'hardcore' game.
Little King's Story recently came out, aside from it's aesthetics, from what I've heard it's quite a challenging title.
I'm looking forward to the next Pikmin game, Zelda and the direct sequel to my favorite 3D platformer of all time, Super Mario Galaxy 2.
So really, who cares?
I AM getting another system soon, but my decision is affected only by Tim Schafer and Shin Megami Tensei games. I honestly didn't think about getting a new system until I saw previews for Brutal Legend.
Honestly, you're only alone if you allow other people to tell you that you are alone.
The Wii fanbase is the biggest, however, 360 and Sony owners are the 'core' groups who actually post on these types of websites, because the people who own Wii in the majority are a new audience which may not be technologically savvy.
Regardless of that, if you like the Wii and are excited about what's coming out for it then why worry what someone with an Xbox or PS3 has to say?
