TNA was pretty good the other day. I guess being on a way less popular channel has given them the motivation to put out quality shows. Angle vs Lashley was ace.

AJ Styles (C) vs. Kota Ibushi for the IWGP Heavyweight Title (NJPW)

Invasion Attack Main Event.  Excellent match, just as expected with two of the best wrestlers in the world.  Kota Ibushi has moved up to that status without question.  So many nice things here.  The selling by both guys was great, especially Ibushi falling down like he had a concussion after taking a German Suplex on the outside, and I liked how they kept fighting to escape from the other's big moves as though they were lethal.

What I really liked was the subtle way the Kenny Omega/Kota Ibushi relationship was handled.  Omega is the newest member of the Bullet Club but it wasn't so long ago that he and Ibushi were a well-known tag team (the Golden Lovers) for DDT (I also love how New Japan isn't afraid to reference things that happened in other promotions).  There was a spot where it was clear Omega was supposed to attack Ibushi but his conflicted expression and the way he backed off painted a picture which told a thousand words.  That resulted in an awesome finish and more conflict for Omega.  Is he on the fence between his new club and his old friend?  I LOVE how the camera-man caught Omega standing at ringside with a blank look on his face as the ref counted the 1-2-3.

I understand Omega (IWGP Jr. Champ) vs. Mascara Dorada was also really good, as was Young Bucks (IWGP Jr. Tag Champs) vs. Roppongi Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta), but I probably won't have time to watch those matches until tomorrow.

So Fight Network in Canada is getting House of Hardcore, plus TNA. Looks like they're getting serious. If they get Dragon USA and other indie shows, I think I might start paying for it.

I love Adam Cole.  Has to be one of the best heels in wrestling.
