I agree. MS had no idea this was coming. Took them completely by surprise. What ever will they do?

I hear they are going to bundle copies of Windows 7, Office 2010 and a Zune HD with every Arcade/Elite this Christmas in hopes of countering the PS3 price cut. But im not sure its going to be enough, as the Xbox 360 still costs $300 + $300 (6 years of Live) + $100 wireless + $200 BR. They cannot compete with a PS3 which is 1/3rd the price.

Are you out of your flipping MIND?!?  Don't you know what happens when you mix the Red Ring Of Death and the Blue Screen Of Death together?!?

AHHHHHHH.... IT'S THE RED RING OF DEATH STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111ONEONEONE11

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

To be honest.  I knew MS was up a creek when Sony released Home.  It has been all downhill from there.

Personally I was a bit slow. It finally dawned upon me when Sony copied Avatars for PSN with their 3.0 update.

@Nightdragon, thats desperation for you. It shows you how far they would go!

Tease.

All joking aside, there are avatars now for PSN?

Did Microsoft really up the price of the Arcade?

Not so, they were doomed ever since Tekken 6 was announced. No? How about... Final Fantasy XIII? No? Devil May...?...screw it.

Signs of desperation:

1. Raising the price.

I just call it a case of "Duck season, Wabbit season." Obviously Microsoft thinks that if they once again take the initiative in changing the price, Sony will take the bait and change their price as well. As a 360 loyalist, I can only hope Sony will yell "Duck Season. FIRE!".

2. Predicting the PS3 cut.

Lord only knows how this happened. I mean, today we had posters posting "Megaton!1!!" and "Take that doubters!". How could they have been so right while we were so wrong? I must look into this.

3. The design of the Xbox 360.

Microsoft was also under a rock while in that cave.

4. Not announcing games too far into the future.

Well, when they said "10 years plus one day.", I still hold on to the fact that they were talking about the PS2's life span, not the PS3 (duh!). Sony fans really need to be more clear when they talk about 10 year plans, or else I might make an assumption.

5. They just know they haven't got the performance.

Sega does what Nintendon't, so it only makes sense.

These subtle comedy stealth threads are soo last month.

Kudos Squill, better than most of the other threads today.

Days like today (when fanboys come out of the woodwork foaming at the mouth) make it barely worth posting.

Squilliam.. seriously maturity
