Well, I don't refer to anybody as a "fanboy" so that doesn't apply to me. Second, I wasn't on GAF when the 360 dropped to $199.99 so I can't judge anyone who I haven't observed. I'm going by what I see here, and I think it's ridiculous to let a system price drop ruin your day, no matter WHO you are.

Wow judging from this thread, it appears that i underestimated what the price cut would do.  I think its totally possible for the PS3 to do 400-500k for its first price drop week.  Unless MS does something drastic then the PS3 is gonna destroy the fuck out the gap between the two.

WOW, just WOW, It's amazing what can happen in less than 24 hours, congrats Sony, nicely done!!! It's gonna be a fun fall/winter seeing the PS3 make a comeback sales wise!!!

OK. So the PS3 slim will move hardware. It's the software sales that I am more interested in.

Based on what I have read in forums many people wanted to play the most graphically impressive console game of them all but couldn't or wouldn't pay the price for the PS3.

I expect to see a rise in the sales of K2 in a couple weeks.

VC doing so will after so long is impressive. I am really pleased about that.

OMG a new model and price drop and it sells wel initially who would have thunk it !!!!

The PS2 slim sales spiked as well when it first came out. The Elite is coming down to $299 to replace the pro model so when that happens the 360 will be back to having all skus being at least $100 cheaper than the PS3.
