Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's New Direction

The only direction I see Nintendo taking is one that goes back to their roots. If you notice, a lot of their new games have elements from the franchise's roots (Mario Kart going back to N64 style, Galaxy resembles Mario 64 and SMB3, Brawl brought back Bumpers and Character entrances). Of course, I could just be over thinking things.

I didn't ask anyone to agree with me. I just was wondering if anyone else felt the same way. I just I honestly don't care anymore.......

Didn't anyone else think snaking in Mario Kart DS was cheap?

I've heard about it. At least you won't have to worry about cheaing in Brawl, since there appears to be no rankings.

I hate snaking only because I haven't mastered it. I've like half-mastered it, so I can beat anybody who doesn't snake, but I get roasted by anybody who can really snake. But to say "no snaking" would be a bitch move because I'm just handicapping people who have mastered a technique I haven't. It's the same thing with all those wacky air-freeze wave-dashing crazy combo mojo shits in Smash Bros. It's how you separate the pros from the schmos.

Point being, that even the worst Mario Kart ever, is like what, the 6th best racing game ever? The new one shall be awesome.

The worst Mario Kart would probably have to be the GBA one. It didn't really add anything to the series and the track designs were limited by the hardware. After 64 it felt like a step back, even though 64 certainly has faults of its own.

Hates Nomura.

To be honest, I have mastered it. But I just don't think it's fair.
