I've spent much of my week playing Peggle, Ninja Turtles, Saints Row 2 (what?) and Tetris with my girlfriend and kid. I think this guy should've made his family a part of his hobby instead of making his hobby an escape from his family. It seems to work pretty well for me.

Saints Row 2 with your kid? Like you said: what?

Well, i have this friend of mine from work who play Gears of War 2 with his 8 years old and 7 years old sons.

They prefer Marcus than Mario anyday XD.

Well that's not normal. Where's the mother in the story?

i would have cared if I had not already heard of a guy dying from playing warcraft.

She hooked it up herself, and finished a mission.  She was so proud of herself, that she came and got me to come watch her play.  I admit, I was proud of her, too.  Now, she plays it all of the time.  She usually just dresses up her character or listens to "Take On Me" in the music store, though.  Sometimes, she shoots an old lady.

I'm a horrible parent.

Depends how old she is. I got Doom as a Christmas present when I was 8.

Yeah lol I think I played Doom when I was about 6 and I grew just right. I guess.

I believe I played it when I was 4 or 5 X-D

Stupid green acid would get me every time!

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Unaware maybe?

Another funny story. He told me the other they that the kids were playing behing the couch, hiding and thowing "grenades" like the heroes from the game.

I have to admit that i was concerned at first, but the kids are well educated and knows what is good and what is bad, and what can harm people.

Also, the game has this air of non-seriousness and fictional theme, that make it almost harmless. i would be worry if he let them play a game like Silent Hill. Now That would be f*cked up.

I actually do give myself a check up on how much gaming I'm doing. Really easy way to do this is say "Honey, do you think I'm doing a little too much gaming?", provided lying isn't normal for one's relationship, you'll find that women are pretty willing to offer up the answer to that particular question. But then you have to be able to suck it up and step back, that's the hard part. Satisfying when you can do it though.

Who?

The guy in the video...

I have no idea who this guy is. I think Chad Warden doing this would make far more of an uproar. I looked at his account, and his top video has 25,000 views.

only 25000 wow that bad.

that's so sad i guess i've always taken for granted that anyone i end up married to (heh) will be interested in games at least as much as myself. but that guy clearly admits that he was too obsessed. hope everything works out for him

I always put people I care about first. Just feels right to me.

I pity this guy.

4 ≈ One

why not share his games with his family ?
its more fun that way.
