Well, buy Fat Princess anyway. There's no animal cruelty. And GT5 doesn't have it either, but Halo 3 does (kind of, aliens are animals).

You can't have a fat princess without animal products and you can't have a decent driving game without the authentic experience of avoiding dogs and cats on the road. Aliens are ugly animals, we only look after cute ones sorry.

GT is franchise with massive legs & GT6 is almos guaranteed not to make it out this generation, GT5 will be the only console gran turismo this generation = huge sales + legs

GT isn't some MGS, RE, Halo

it bigger than all 3 & has proven to be bigger

GT is no Mario platformer

GT is no Wii Fit

GT is no Wii Sports

GT is no Mario Kart

GT is no Genji: Days of the Blade

Btw, what is Halo in comparison to RE and MGS? Well its a WHOLE LOT BIGGER for a start.

I think different due to some factors I think have to be considered.

The PS3 will come last this gen, so have the least amount of consoles out there. And obviously be nowhere near the sales of PS2.

Forza 3 whether you like it or not will stop some people purchasing a PS3 for GT5. Those people who have bought a 360 who previously owned a PS2 will play Forza 3 and not see the point of forking out for a PS3 with GT5.

Like I said I believe Sony fans will be disapointed with the Lifetime sales of GT5.

True 720p is 1280x720; that's 921,600 pixels. Metal Gear Solid 4's 1024x768 is 786,432 pixels, so it's actually less than 720p. For comparison, Halo 3 runs in 1152x640; that's 737,280 pixels. So going by pixel count, MGS4's resolution is actually closer to Halo 3's than it is to 720p. Meanwhile, Call of Duty 4 is worse than both; it runs in 1024x600. (614,400 pixels.) It's kind of funny how I've seen some people bash Halo 3's resolution while praising CoD4's - when CoD4's is actually the worse of the two.

Personally, I think the whole argument is pointless. I consider all three to be HD games. But if you want be a hardliner about what qualifies as HD - "nothing less than 1280x720" - then MGS4 doesn't cut it.

The ps3 is still shit expensive, and sells very good for such a expensive console, almost as good as the xbox 360 which hit the sweetspot price a long time ago.

Microsoft dont have a single system seller title left to release.

Sony has GT5. Gran turismo games=insanely long legs, both for console and game sales. 

God of war 3 will atleast burst the sales somewhat.

Final fantasy 13 is going to move a huge amount of ps3s aswell, especially in japan. FFv13 too. These titles have long legs, and will move consoles for a while.

Not to mention the ps3 slim and a price cut.

These are the biggest playstation franchises and have  not  been released yet, Sony waiting till they can lower the price of the console before releasing these heavy hitters. And square been waiting for a cut aswell before releasing FF13.

It's to early to announce the winner of the silver medal this generation.

I'd say GT5's success will depend on the impact it has at launch. If it's able to significantly push PS3 sales to be consistently be above that of 360 for a prolonged period, therefore allowing the PS3 to overtake the 360 overall then I'd say yes.

Gran Turismo as a series has sold amazingly well, but let's not forget that this was over the course of 2 platforms that dominated their era's. The attach rate for those games aren't actually blow your mind crazy (especially for GT4) and unless the PS3 overtakes the 360 to compensate for the fact that Halo 3's attach rate is better, I don't see it happening (GT5 outselling Halo LTD). But if PS3 manages to overtake 360, all bets are off and it could go either way (depends on the gap really).
