Did you or did you not say that you copy your DVD for your children so that they do not damage the original?

If so then you are making an issue out of something you do yourself.

Your kids have no consent to take that copy.

If they really need one then they should buy it and not cheat the movie studio out of a second sale.

I am making a copy of those movies for my own personal use, which is allowed.

However, I like you play on the situation. lol.

It is not for your children's personal use though. It is just like how companies put DRM into PC games for reasons like "The game was purchased for you to play on your PC, not your PC and your Brother's PC". I clearly remember EA (Or some other PC gaming company) saying something along those lines.

You get VGC$ for threads? :)

Yes. I am pretty sure that you receive VG$ every time someone posts in your thread.

i am sick of people bitching about piracy.

The averige payment in Brazil is about 220-230 dollars. And one guy from Brazil told me that games cost about 120 dollars there.(the new ones) So you except someone to spend more than half of his payment just to get one game??? You people need to understand that not everyone can afford to buy games even thought they HAVE a job.

Its an even cuter argument when its "The industry needs your support!"

Yeah, let me get the phone numbers of all the hard working artists and coders from all the game companies that have folded in the past year and you can call them all and tell them how "cute" it is that you, and others of your ilk, have pirated their games and now they're out of work and can't feed their families.

The argument that "I wouldn't have bought it anyway" is ridiculous.  If you 100% didn't want something you wouldn't even pirate it.  Someone can offer me free turd sandwiches for life and I won't take them because I don't want to eat turd sandwiches.  If you're pirating something you obviously have a desire, however slight, for that product. If someone has spent any amount of time creating something you desire, they deserve to be paid for creating that product.  End of story.

All I can say is the people who are pro-piracy in this thread have never created an original thing in their life.  I make non-tangible products for a living, I have had my hard work copied and in some cases resold.

I have no sympathy for pirates.

You sure do speak in plenty of absolutes even though you do not know anyone on a personal level. I am amazed at how you know what someone like me thinking when downloading a title or that I have a desire for something I download.

I am also amazed at how you know exactly how my life has played out thus far and that because I pirate some games/movies that I have never created anything original in my life.

Simply amazing!

I have no sympathy for people who assume they are better than someone else.

Also blaming piracy for all of these companies going under is a piss poor excuse. Many of them made shit products and fact is that nobody wanted to buy them. The creators of Haze went down because of us pirates? If so please let me know how to run backups on a PS3 and/or run them off an HDD. That goes for any of the companies making PS3 titles.

It is also funny how the best software sellers are the 2 consoles where piracy is not only possible, but extremely easy.

If piracy was hurting as bad as people assume I don't think the industry would be growing as big and as fast as it has been these last few years.

Well, I have one thing to say here:

PIRACY RULEZ!!!

/Close thread,

P.S, just trying to bring some humour to the thread as a lot of you are wayyyy to serious....
