That would be great but i think a move like FF VII remake would be smarter. I personally prefer a FF X remake.

Uematsu's finest work indeed.
Sorry but I really don't understand people disliking IX unless they are just the "ZOMG KIDDY" people. The music, characters, and style were brilliant. It's exactly what a 3D FF game should have been in the first place... not FFVII. |
The music was great, no doubt about that. Characters other than Vivi, I really couldn't care for less... Especially Zidane, I thought his design was great but he felt hollow to me. The style was fitting I suppose, it's just that the game nearly bored me to death. The story felt extrememly bland and the gameplay and pacing just felt dull. Don't know why but I had more fun with 2, 3, 4, 7, and 10-2 even the the core gameplay was pretty much the same for all 6... atleast that's how it felt to me. But sometiimes a boring story with characters I don't care about often ruins the gameplay for me so that may have played a part.
Perhaps I just didn't play long enough, but after making it a few hours into Disc2 I just stopped. I just don't think it should take that long for a game to grab my interest. FF3 was a bit slow but it was somewhat enjoyable for me. FFVI grabbed my attention quite quickly and it also felt like a harder game, and I like a more challenging experience. FFVII grabbed my attention right away with the begining. 10-2's gameplay was just plain fun compared to all the other FF's for me, and although I didn't play 10 yet, the story wasn't amazing and when I had to return the disc to my bro I was only 49% done, I actually enjoyed it. 9, 12 and then 3 I guess are so far the weakest parts of the series for me.
As for not liking them because of some Kiddy impression, I loved Golden Sun, it's one of my [if not my] favourite RPG series and the characters felt just as young, if not a little younger than FF9.

i want a FFXIV remake aswell.
seriously, that game isn't old nor outdated to be remade.
Just play it with ePSXe on your PC and/or laptop. You can up the graphic quality and what not.
I do this with my PS1 titles because for some of them (FFIX especially) it makes the game look so much better and without all the jaggies. I would post a screen shot if I could but I am on my work PC.
You just pop your retail disc in and it runs it great.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

I would so love an FFIX remake, one of my all time favourite games ever. Loved everything about this game.

This is honestly the first time I've heard someone refer to Golden Sun as Kiddy.
If anything I'd put it up there with Suikoden II, but below FF Tactics in maturity level.
In my own experience, FFIX is my first numbered FF. I bought it because Tactics was my favorite game at the time and they shared the same name. Bought it, beat it, became one of my favorites because of the emotion I felt during the ending credits where I felt like a long wonderful journey was over. Even now, the ending credits is the part I remember the most.
As for my other FF experiences, the only other FF I've beaten is FF-X.
Bought VII an VIII right after I've beaten IX and was disappointed. Didn't get to finish both even though I invested a lot of time on it(last disc on both).
Also got IV on the DS, didn't finish either because I ws spoiled by the modern JRPG's.
After playing "Tales of" games, FFIV's characters felt 2 dimensional and I just didn't care for them.
Played XII aswell, made it to killing the white Chocobo side story, the story was boring to me though so i just stopped.
X-2 was also a disappointment.

I was mainly referring to the age. Neither game felt kiddy to me, it's just that the characters you play as in both games were very young, felt the same age to me.
I haven't played Tactics, hear it's coming to the PS Store so I may check it out. I really enjoyed Tactics Advanced on the GBA however.

Despite what you may have read it really isn't. I also wouldn't mind them putting that on the PSN. Even though I have the original still I'd like to play it without the load times I'm sure the original would still have on the PS3. |
Huh. Had I known that i wouldn't of bought a single Game Boy Advance game.

Agree this is one of the best FF of all time

To the best of my knowledge, Twesterm is wrong here - owning a back-up is not illegal, though distributing it is.
Anyway, though.
Yeah, just wait. IX will get its time in the Sun.
