Gran Turismo makes a pretty big difference, combined with other factors, imo.

I would love to see the game be released this year but I prefer next year. This would give them more time to workout all the kinks in the game to make the game absolutely amazing. I don't want a game that is rushed into be released this year and end up as a huge title that was a huge disappoinment. I think if its released in 2009, they will have less time to promote the game. 2010 is a better time frame for the game.

I'm not saying it's going to push the PS3 to second, I'm just saying that it would give it a fighting chance.

Releasing it in February would be a monumentally dumb move by Sony, and a year from Xmas is a year too late.

But seriously guys... Slim, Pricecut, Gran Turismo 5 and Final Fantasy 13 all within 3-4 months of eachother = super duper uber monster sales.

My own personal prediction for the release of the game is the week before Forza 3 launches.

This year, absolutely. Sony needs maximum impact, the 2009 lineup all around is beginning to look dry compared to early 2010. It will get more sales in the holidays, and have more system selling potential in the holidays. It might also hurt Forza 3 sales (maybe).
