I can see the TV ads now. Massive, expansive ads promoting intense action on PS3, 360, and PC. Last 5 seconds of the ad, "expierence the original classic on Wii".......

Nope, I don't even seen that as the ad. They are just going to focus on the PC/360/PS3 versions. I guarantee that.

Well, Wii owners have been begging for Modern Warfare since it came out in 2007. World at War barely got to a million even though it's been out for almost a year, while the PS3/360 churned out a million like first week. You may not want to admit it, but with the case of Modern Warfare, Activision is overlooking the Wii, so this two year old port, not even handled by IW, but rather Treyarch (who have a history of making terribly inferior CODs, as compared to IW) seems to be more like a stfu than for profit.....even if profit is to be made

 

What? All we know about this port is that Treyarch is doing it. While that obviously doesn't instil confidence,  why would Activision put out a game to tell Wii owners to stfu? The fact that the Wii is getting Modern Warfare and not Modern Warfare: Jihad Chronicles (or no game at all) tells me they are taking this much more seriously than they could have.

Well Avtivition ran TV ads specific to the Wih version of WaW, and that was before fps were 'prooven' to sell on Wii.

Seems more PS360 boys are in this thread than Wii owners are.

I say whatever, if the games handled well and implements Wii's superior controls nicely then I might check it out. If not, well I'll have 50 extra bucks in my pocket.

I don't see how this game will be seen as a "test" for "hardcore" games on Wii. I thought that ship had sailed long ago. I mean look at Monster Hunter 3..or is that a "casual" game now?

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

I'm not sure how they intend to make profit by releasing a two year old FPS on the Wii, but okay.

LOL exactly my thoughts. The Wii just can't win as someone from here says much often.
